How to play Bubble Harbor

Clear six original bubble harbors. Fire a numbered bubble into a matching group of at least three. Bubbles with no remaining connection to the ceiling fall away, so removing a small anchor can clear a large cluster.

  1. The dashed aiming line shows the actual first contact, including wall reflections. The outlined circle marks the empty grid space where the bubble will settle. Colors also carry numbers, so you do not need to distinguish color alone.
  2. A group of three or more equal numbers bursts. Any bubbles disconnected from the ceiling then fall. A burst resets the unmatched-shot counter. After four or five unmatched shots, depending on the harbor, the ceiling drops one row.
  3. Clear the whole board to unlock the next harbor. Touching the red danger line or running out of landing space ends the round; a round is also limited to 120 shots. Undo can recover a lost round. Each retry repeats its original layout and bubble sequence.

Controls at a glance

Touch or mouse
Drag on the field to aim, then release to fire. A tap aims toward that point and fires. You can instead set the Aim slider and press Fire.
Keyboard
Focus the field. Left and Right adjust by two degrees; Space or Enter fires. X swaps the current and next bubble, and P pauses. The Aim slider also supports standard keyboard controls.
Planning and recovery
Swap exchanges the two visible bubble numbers without spending a shot. Undo restores the previous board and queue, including after a loss or clear. New round starts the selected unlocked harbor after confirmation.

A few things worth trying

  • Use First ripples to learn one direct match. Later harbors hide useful anchors above different-colored groups.
  • Try a bank shot along a side wall when the lower bubbles block the group you want. The full guide line and landing outline update before you fire.
  • Watch the ceiling counter. A successful burst resets it, but a small match is not always as useful as removing an anchor that drops several colors.

Good to know

Are the starting boards solvable?

Each of the six authored layouts has a verified complete sequence of legal shots, including wall reflections and bubble swaps. Poor choices can still fill the harbor; use Undo or repeat the layout.

What is saved?

Your current harbor and completed shot history stay in this browser. Best clears are saved as complete replayable shot histories. An unfinished flying shot is not committed until it lands; reloading restores the last settled board.

Does the next bubble use colors that no longer exist?

After each shot the queue is adjusted to colors still present on the board. You can swap the current and preview bubbles freely before firing.

Is there a timer?

No. Take as long as you like to aim. Ceiling pressure comes from unmatched shots, not elapsed time. Pausing or leaving a tab freezes a shot already in flight.

Is keyboard support a nonvisual play mode?

No. The controls work with a keyboard and the bubbles are numbered, but reading the board and shot paths remains a visual task.
