How to play Letter Wheel

Make words from the letter ring and fill six original linked word grids. Each solved word reveals letters in its crossings. Extra accepted words join a separate bonus collection.

  1. Use each letter position at most once in a word. Choose at least three letters, then Check word. The ring is available again for the next word.
  2. Every grid has a hand-selected target and bonus vocabulary. It is not a full dictionary. Unsupported or repeated words cost nothing; clear or delete letters to try again.
  3. Reveal a letter fills one hidden cell, including its crossing. A revealed word still needs to be spelled and submitted. Complete every target to finish the garden.

Controls at a glance

Touch or mouse
Tap individual letters or trace across the ring. Release, then use Check word. Delete letter removes the last choice; Clear word starts the selection again.
Keyboard
Focus a letter button and type letters. Backspace deletes; Enter checks the word. Tab reaches hints, garden selection and restart.
Progress
Change gardens freely. Each garden keeps its own words, bonuses and hints. Restart garden clears only the current one after confirmation.

A few things worth trying

  • Short words can open useful crossings. You do not have to start with the longest word.
  • Try rearranging the same letters into a different word. Several gardens contain pairs of longer anagrams.
  • If every letter in a slot is visible, read along its row or column and submit that word. Hints help you see words, but do not count as finds.

Good to know

What counts as a bonus?

An accepted word that is not one of the visible grid targets. Bonuses are optional and do not block completion.

Why was my word rejected?

Each garden uses a small original selection of English words. Some valid English words are outside that selection. Rejection never spends a move or removes progress.

Is there a time limit?

No. Take as long as you like, use hints freely and switch gardens whenever you want.

What is saved?

All six gardens keep their submitted targets, bonus words and revealed cells in this browser. Clearing browser storage removes that progress.
