How to play Color Tubes

Separate each color into its own full tube. Work through six deliberately arranged puzzles, with unlimited undo and no timer.

  1. Select a source tube, then a destination. Only the continuous group of matching layers at the top can move.
  2. Pour onto an empty tube or the same top color. Each tube holds four layers; if the destination has less room than the group, only the layers that fit move.
  3. An arrangement is complete when every tube is either empty or full of one color. Tap a selected source again to cancel the selection.

Controls at a glance

Touch or mouse
Tap the source tube, then the destination. Invalid pours leave the arrangement unchanged.
Keyboard
Tab to a tube, use left/right arrows to move focus, and Enter or Space to select it.
Undo
Undo any pour, even after completing an arrangement. History survives a refresh.

A few things worth trying

  • Keep an empty tube available when possible. It gives you room to expose buried colors.
  • Inspect the color beneath a top group before moving it. A pour can reveal an important matching color.
  • A partially filled single-color tube is useful storage, but it is not finished. Bring all four layers together to complete it.

Good to know

Are these arrangements solvable?

Each of the six starting arrangements has been checked by a rule-based solver. Your later choices may still create a dead end; use Undo or restart.

How do I distinguish similar colors?

Every color also has a letter: fern A, clay B, blue C and gold D. Screen-reader labels describe every tube from bottom to top.
