How to play Spider One Suit
Gather eight complete King-to-Ace spade sequences from 104 cards. Ten columns begin partly hidden; fifty stock cards arrive in five rows. Three fixed full-deck challenges give you space to learn, reconsider and finish.
- Move an exposed descending run onto a card one rank higher. All cards share one suit, so an unbroken sequence can move together. Any card or ordered run may fill an empty column.
- Deal a row places one new card on every column. Fill all empty columns first. A new row may break the order of existing runs; there is no stock recycling.
- Uncovering a face-down card turns it over. A complete exposed King-to-Ace sequence is automatically collected. Gather all eight sequences to win.
Controls at a glance
- Touch or mouse
- Select the first card in a descending run, then a destination card or numbered column heading. Swipe sideways to reach all ten columns on a narrow phone.
- Keyboard
- Tab into the table. Arrows navigate cards and columns; Enter or Space selects, Escape cancels, and D deals a row.
- Recovery
- Undo reverses the entire previous action, including a stock row, hidden-card reveals and collected sequences. Select Next deal and Start selected deal to begin another challenge.
A few things worth trying
- An empty column is a temporary shelf for any rank. Use it to disentangle runs, but fill it before dealing another row.
- Try to reveal face-down cards before covering the table with another row. The stock cannot be taken back except by Undo.
- A long ordered run is easy to move as a unit. Break it only when doing so reveals useful cards or frees a column.
Good to know
Are the deals solvable?
Each of the three fixed shuffled deals has a verified complete legal solution using all 104 cards and all five stock rows. Different choices may need undo or a restart.
Why can I not deal with an empty column?
This version follows the fill-every-column rule. Move any exposed card or descending run into each empty space, then deal.
Does Legal move solve the puzzle?
No. It suggests an available move, favoring hidden-card reveals. It does not guarantee a winning continuation.
What is saved?
The selected seed and up to 3,000 replayable actions stay in this browser. Reload restores the exact cards, stock and undo history. At the action limit you can undo or start another deal.
Is there a timer or score penalty?
No timer and no undo penalty. The action counter records your path; all eight completed sequences are the objective.
